Working with coal mines in Alberta, Canada GP Restoration solutions and Partners Eastern Slopes Rangeland Seeds and Tannas Conservation Services Ltd.  have pioneered the ability to use native wetland plants to remove selenium from mine tailings ponds through phyto-remediation.

This research work has taken place over a 5 year period and has included lab trials and now we have installed approximately 1,100 square meters of our prototype floating Islands and will be adding another 400 square meters of our new commercially available floating Islands in 2020.
